Trigger Point Injections

Targeted injections that release painful muscle knots and interrupt myofascial pain patterns to provide rapid relief and restore normal muscle function.

What Is Trigger Point Injections?

Trigger points are hyperirritable spots within a taut band of muscle that cause localized and referred pain. Trigger point injections use a small needle to release the taut band and interrupt the pain cycle.

How It Works

The physician identifies the trigger point by palpation and injects directly into it. A local anesthetic is typically used. Most patients experience immediate softening of the muscle and pain relief. Multiple trigger points can be treated in a single session.
